Poetics of Relation – Reading Group 2026

Join us on Tuesday 13th January at 6pm as we return to Édouard Glissant’s Poetics of Relation, for our now once-monthly reading group! During our first session, we look forward to deciding together how we might approach reading Poetics of Relation over the course of the coming year.

Glissant’s Poetics of Relation has been fundamental to the thinking behind Market’s recent and upcoming programming, and we’re excited to continue collectively studying this text, as we began ~ and loved ~ doing with some of you last year.

Whether you’re familiar with Poetics of Relation or encountering it for the first time, all are welcome! We encourage an informal and relaxed environment for reading, thinking & reflecting together ~ no one is an expert.

Below you’ll find dates for each session during the first half of 2026 ~ each session falls on a Tuesday and will begin at 6pm lasting approximately 1-2 hours.

Print outs from the text will be available at each session but if you have a copy of the book already, it would be great if you could bring it along!

Many Studios is located at 3 Ross St, Glasgow G1 5AR. It is a wheelchair accessible space with an accessible toilet.
