Studio Projects Residency Open Call – 2025/26

Market Gallery is excited to share that we are now accepting applications for 2025 – 2026 Studio Project Residencies. We are offering two residency opportunities to emerging¹ artists based in Glasgow who are in need of a sustained period of reflection, research,  and/or making. One of these opportunities is specifically for artists with caregiving responsibilities.

The Studio Project Residency is a funded residency that spans flexibly across 10 days over one month, either in December 2025 or January 2026. As part of this opportunity, the artists will also have the option to share their work through a public facing outcome.

Fee:

• Artist fee: £1400 
• Production budget: £700 
• Sharing event fee: £225
• Sharing event production budget: £380

Duration: 10 days (consecutive or spread out across 1 month)

Dates: December 2025 & January 2026

Access: 

• Market Gallery is located at Many Studios in a wheelchair accessible space, with an accessible toilet.
• An access budget is available to support artists participation in the residency. This will be tailored to individual needs through a conversation prior to the start of the residency.

We strongly encourage applications from people who are LGBTQIA+, BPOC, living with disabilities, and from working class or low socio-economic backgrounds.
