2022 Call out for Board Members

Join our board!

We are looking for board members starting from October 2022.

We are an advisory board in place to help support the vision of the Market committee. We advise on how best the committee can achieve their goals and continue the organisation’s 25+ years of supporting young and emerging creatives. We also support the sustainability of Market Gallery as a whole. 

We meet 4 times annually, with an additional AGM and exceptional extra meetings when major changes need advising upon. Where there is capacity, board members will also meet with Committee members and the Programme Facilitator to discuss their programming interests and research into Market’s ongoing structural changes. This position is voluntary and travel expenses can be reimbursed.

We are looking for someone who has one or more or the following:

• Experience on a board in the creative sector
• Experience in senior positions within the arts
• Knowledge of budgets and Creative Scotland funding
• Experience and knowledge of the East end of Glasgow
• Residence in Glasgow
