‘Night School # 1’

This talk/lab is the first in a four part series of events curated by Market Gallery in conjunction with the Art School Union.

The series is based on a desire to open up discussion surrounding contemporary practices. Speakers will be given a ‘word’ and ‘gift’ to respond to in relation to their own work and asked to invite a special guest to join them in conversation.

Kirsteen Macdonald in conversation with archivist Karl Mcgee on the topic of ‘Rejection’.

Responding to the word ‘Rejection’ and the gift of a goldfish, Kirsteen has invited archivist Karl Magee from the Lindsay Anderson Collection at the University of Stirling to unpick the notion of rejection in relation to the working life of Anderson and how might translate to a wider critique within creative practices.

Lunch Time Lab The Lunchtime Lab was an opportunity for participants to view and discuss material from the archive held in the University of Stirling’s Lindsay Anderson Collection, focussing on rare and unseen work from the later part of Anderson’s life.
